During your appointment, we’ll examine your teeth and gums to determine the cause of your toothache. We may also take X-rays to get a better look at your teeth and jawbone. We will provide you with options for dental treatment to alleviate your toothache.

We might recommend a deep cleaning procedure known as scaling and root planing, which involves removing plaque and tartar from below the gum line and smoothing out any rough spots on the roots of the teeth to help promote healing. We’ll also provide guidance on proper oral hygiene techniques and recommend lifestyle changes to help prevent gum disease from recurring in the future.
